Brethren, we are progressing in the month of perfection.   Let’s be reminded that the number seven is identified with significant breakthroughs in the Holy Bible.

The question is are you ready for yours?   Do you believe that something significant can happen in your life this month?    Beloved, you need to believe so that you can receive.   Only true believers receive amazing miracles.

This month, may the Lord give you a miracle that would surprise you in Jesus name.

Brethren, the time of waiting can be described as a dry period.  A period of barrenness.   When a tree that is supposed to produce fruits gets dry, it cannot produce any fruit but that same tree assisted with the farmer’s fertilizer, may be spring up again and become fruitful.

So, is the life of Man.   When we are faced with challenges, we become dry.   Dry in the sense that the mind is troubled.    At times like this, such a person, though a Christian, may begin to ask if indeed God exists or if God has forgotten him or her.

God never dies.  He is alive and able to reposition those who trust in him.  When He repositions, the one that is being laughed at would become the one that people laugh with.

I will recall two amazing testimonies at the July Holy Ghost Night of the Redeemed Christian Church of God held at the Redemption City along the Lagos- Ibadan Express way.

This testimony that I would paraphrase, was given by Pastor Israel Abayomi and his wife, Afolakemi.

The couple had been waiting on the Lord for years and age was no longer on her side.  She was over 50 years, five years above the age of menopause.

She tried to have IVF but was rejected because of her age but she and her husband continued to trust the LORD for a miracle.

During one the programmes she attended, God spoke through the General Overseer,  Pastor Enoch Adeboye  that God   has reduced someone’s  age by five years. She believed the word , claimed it and was confident that it was meant for her.

Then she took a step of faith, after she had encounter with the Lord in her dream.

This emboldened her to approach another  doctor believing that  five years had been removed from her age.

Before she took this step, she said God had given  her and her husband a  word in 1st Timothy 2 vs. 15 (KJV)  “Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety”.

Brethren, this passage is relevant to anyone trusting God for the fruit of the womb  or any other miracle.

Note the conditions. “ Faith, Charity and Sobriety”.  

Many of us understand that Faith is belief in God.  It also means total trust in God.  Charity, we know is kindness.  It is about giving especially to the less privileged.   Let’s take a look at Sobriety.  On the surface it means to be sober.  To be serious about something.  A more comprehensive definition describes “ Sobriety” as “ the condition of not having any effects from alcohol or drugs. Sobriety is also considered  to the natural state of a human being at  birth.   A person  in a state of sobriety is considered sober”.

Brethren, it is very clear that for us to receive from the LORD that expected miracle either related to child bearing or not, we must fulfill certain conditions.

Ask yourself, what is the level of your faith in God?  When was the last time  you gave  to a motherless babies home, widows, physically challenged children or orphans?

Are you still taking alcohol or drugs to subdue your thoughts about a challenge?  

Use of alcohol or drugs would never bring an end to a challenge , it  would rather compound it.

Brethren, I don’t need to again emphasize what we have written about in this column several times about the importance of faith and charity.

Let’s return to the awesome testimony of Pastor Abayomi and his wife, Afolakemi.

Fully convinced that God has reduced  her age by five years from 58 to 53, she approached a doctor for  IVF.

Remember, doctors do no not  perform  IVF for anyone above 55 .  In some countries in Europe, once you are 45, no doctor would help with IVF.

According to her  she told the doctor that she is no longer 58 but 53.  She doctor who knows that she is 58 smiled. In her words, “ because God was involved, the doctor had the IVF done for her and she conceived”.

Mark her words, because “ God was involved”.   It simply means that ordinarily, the doctor would not have attended to her.  He would have sent her away just like other doctors did.

But because “ With God all things are possible”, and the Doctor of doctors was involved that attempt  resulted in her conception.

Brethren, I pray for you  God will get involved in that situation that you want a change in Jesus name.

Our Lord Jesus said to the father of the child that was possessed with a demonic spirit in Mark 9 vs. 23: “ Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe,  all things are possible  to him that believeth”.  

Brethren,  see the emphasis on Faith.

Back to the testimony of Mrs. Abayomi .  She said,  throughout the pregnancy period, everything went well. She has not ill and the growth of the baby progressed smoothly.

Finally, the baby boy,  Oluwarantimi ( God has remembered me) was born early this year.

She gave birth to the baby boy at the age of 58 and her husband 62.

Isn’t this a confirmation that  indeed “with God all things are possible”.

Some people say that a baby conceived through IVF is not a miracle.

When you come across people who have had series of failed IVF, you would know that IVF succeeds when God is involved.

Brethren, it is only God that decides  how and when  conception  takes place .

Besides, which medication can one take to reduce, age by five years?  Do you know? I don’t know any.

But the Almighty God, the Unlimited God did it without  medication or surgery.

Brethren, reposition yourself and let God reposition you.   Make changes in your physical and spiritual life.

You need to prepare yourself for a miracle.   Miracles do not just  happen except in cases where God has decided to show mercy.

I may not know how long you have been waiting or how many doctors you have visited but I suggest  you follow the path of this couple.

The Word came to them because they persisted in prayer.  

They had a break through because they had faith.

She also said during the testimony that she had the opportunity of grabbing the left over water that Mummy Adeboye left on the table and used it as the Holy Spirit directed.

Can you hear from the Holy Spirit? If you cannot, you need to move yourself to that level. In other words, your faith level must rise.

She also said, she sat on the chairs that Mummy and Daddy G.O sat after they left  programme that she attended.

Brethren, these two steps that she took were  acts of Faith.  Only a person with total trust in God can take such steps.

The question you may want to ask is how do I  increase my faith level?

The answer is found in Romans 10 vs. 17:  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”. 

Hearing is crucial to lifting up of our faith but what do you hear?  It is the Word of God that you must hear to increase your faith.

Therefore beloved Brethren, you  need to create time to be in a place where the word of church is being preached.  

A regular Sunday service and other programmes .

You need to pay attention to testimonies given in a church especially the one that  is about a breakthrough that is similar to the challenge you are going through.

Brethren, fear no challenge.

Reposition yourself and await a miracle.

God is able.
