In a heartwarming display of philanthropy, the SUTHAG Charity Foundation on Sunday, July 28, 2024, extended a lifeline to promising young minds in Sapele. The foundation, renowned for its humanitarian work across Africa, offered a comprehensive package of educational support and Pep talk to government-owned primary and secondary schools in the community.

Beyond just providing materials, SUTHAG aimed to inspire and empower these young students. The foundation’s Nigeria Chairman, Ambassador Dr. Samson Joseph Iriruaga, emphasized the organization’s commitment to uplifting the underprivileged insisting that they have a proven track record of making a difference, both locally and internationally. “Our focus is on the vulnerable, including widows, and providing them with essential healthcare and education.”

To complement the foundation’s efforts, Blooming Star Global Forum offered invaluable career guidance. Mrs. Lovett Omaruaye delivered a captivating talk on ‘purpose discovery’, equipping students with the tools to navigate their future paths confidently.

The event, held at the prestigious Okpe Hall, Sapele, attracted dignitaries including Chief Okechukwu Cosmas and Mrs Chinyere Nwabudike Nigerians In Diaspora (NIDO) Liberia representatives. They both stressed the importance of parental involvement in children’s education.

Led by Anonubi Esther of Blooming Stars Global Forum, the event featured other resource persons like Aruwa Paul and Anigbor Loveth. Key stakeholders including the Country Director of SCF, Dunamis O. Iriruaga, while guest present include Engr. Bright Otugoma, and Chief Eugene Adegor of Idjerhe Kingdom.

Dr. Iriruaga shed light on the rigorous selection process. “We conducted exams in 26 primary and 13 secondary schools, with three nominees from each,” he explained. “The top performer from each school received our support.”

Over 50 students were rewarded with books, bags, certificates, and financial aid. This transparent process underscored the foundation’s commitment to equity.

Founded by Chief Amb. ThankGod Macdonald Iriruaga, SUTHAG Charity Foundation boasts a team of dedicated individuals both at home and abroad, including Mrs. Rich Yvonne Lee, Executive Director SCF (USA), and Chief Augustine Ohakwe. The foundation is on a mission to transform lives. “This is just the beginning,” Dr. Iriruaga affirmed. “We will continue providing scholarships and supporting communities nationwide.”
