Rep Whingan receives fellowship award from Nigeria French Language Village

Nigeria French Language Village in Badagry has bestowed the prestigious Fellowship Award on Hon. Sesi Whingah, the lawmaker representing the Badagry Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, and other distinguished Nigerians.

During the award presentation, Whingan received praise from the institution’s Director and CEO, Prof. Lateef Babatunde Ayeleru.

He commended Whingan’s unwavering support for the expansion and advancement of the organization, noting both his noteworthy work in the National Assembly and his commitment to carrying out the initiatives begun by his predecessor, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe.

The honor, according to Ayeleru, is a way for the university to thank Whingan for all of his encouragement and support.

In his acceptance speech, fellow recipient and former member of the House of Representatives for the Badagry Federal Constituency, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, commended his successor.

Hunpe expressed his appreciation to Whingan for completing the tasks he had begun while serving.

He stated that the current lawmaker has proven to be a deserving successor who deserves the people of Badagry’s support and vowed to keep working together for the constituency’s advancement.

In his remarks of acceptance, Whingan thanked the Nigerian French Language Village’s administration for the recognition.

He emphasized that the institution’s development was of utmost importance and pledged to provide unwavering support for its expansion.

Whingan also extended congratulations to his predecessor, Hunpe, and other co-awardees, underscoring his dedication to the collective responsibility of advancing Badagry.

According to the citation read during the award presentation and investiture, Whingan was born into the royal family of Maseno in Ikoga-Zebbe, within the Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State, in the 1980s.

He finished his elementary and secondary education in the 1990s and 2000s at Abeokuta, Ogun State’s St. Benedette Nursery and Primary School and Ijemo Titun High School.

He then went on to study at Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, where he graduated in 2009 with a degree in mass communication.

From 2003 to 2008, Sesi developed his expertise in communication and journalism at Paramount FM radio station and Gateway Mirror in Ogun State.

He pursued further education, graduating from Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom with a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Whingan worked as the Managing Director of Pogs Luxury and the Regional Manager and Partner of FAB Pharmaceutical Nigeria Limited before being elected to the National Assembly to represent the Badagry Federal Constituency. In these roles, he showed his aptitude for strategic planning and business management.
