The Managing Director of the Nigerian Tulip International Colleges, NTIC, Feyzullah Bilgin, has called for collaboration with parents to empower their children to choose the right career path.

He spoke at the weekend in Abuja during NTIC’s Parents’ Career Conference, which focused on the “Crucial Role of Parents in the Career Planning of our Children.”

Bilgin, who was represented by the Head of Academics, Nursery and Primary Section, Abdusalam A. Ahmed, said: “From the earliest moments of their lives and as they grow, parents’ role evolves into that of mentors, confidants, and advocates, particularly when it comes to shaping their educational and career trajectories.

“We must learn, unlearn, and re-learn to stay abreast of the latest trends and opportunities in the ever-evolving child-parenting with the job market across the globe.

“As we delve into the intricacies of career planning, let us take a moment to reflect on how often we communicate with our children. Are we staying informed about educational opportunities, career pathways, and emerging industries that our children can venture into?

“I urge all of us to embrace our role as partners in our children’s journey toward choosing the right career path.

“Together, let us empower them to dream big, to pursue their passions with courage and determination.”
