How Olasubomi Jegunmah, Richmond Ogigai are proffering fintech solutions for African businesses

The growing interconnectedness of the global economy presents a boost in visibility and exponential growth for businesses. Thus, most fintech solution companies are poised to revolutionize how businesses conduct financial transactions, process payments, manage risks, among others.

“WallX was launched out of the need for us to solve the growing financial problems faced by small and mid sized business with cash. We decided to build an operating system that solved their day to day operations and also help with the ease of supporting the cashless policy in Nigeria, which involves businesses/individuals being able to move funds around with ease, thereby reducing the possibility of payment breaches . Also, with the government trying to introduce more cashless based transactions, we figured it was an opportunity to enable businesses with operating systems welcome this change, while improving their business operations.” co-founder, Olasubomi Jegunmah says.


A fintech company promoting financial inclusion by offering a diverse range of products and services for SMEs and Individuals, co-founder, Richmond Ogigai, on his part, explains that the business solution offers owners and even solopreneurs a seamless portal to carry out and manage day to day business activities.
“WallX Africa was officially launched as a B2B payment company in 2022. Though we had a couple of pilot program in 2021 trying to find a market fit. Our idea was to provide an operating system for African businesses whilst trying to solve issues of ease of payments for SME’s, Individuals, and corporates. Today we have been able to crack that using a more innovative approach.”


“Today we have a 3-product lines which addresses critical areas of business of all types. One of our major offerings that stands out and delivering impact is WallX Business Suite – a B2B payment & productivity tool for both African and international businesses, merchants & retailers”. he added.


Furthermore, Olasubomi stated that WallX Africa is passionate about maximising fintech to improve businesses in Nigeria and Africa, especially as it pertains to supporting the execution of seamless cashless policy, elimination of fraud and financial transaction errors that unsettle businesses and stunt their development.


“We can confidently say that with our operating system you can reduce the possibility of fraud by 98%,. We have built our system to ensure that business owners are in full control of their businesses and they can monitor their businesses from anywhere in the world. Transactions from end to end (sender to receiver ) are secured , monitored and encrypted.” he said.
