For actor and musician Alaba Onaolapo, widely known by his stage name Alaba Ultimate, the epic movie, Anikulapo by Kunle Afolayan, was one that stretched him to the limit of human endurance.
Playing the role of one of Kuranga’s friends from Ede Town on horseback did not only showcase his acting prowess but also marked a significant milestone in his burgeoning acting career.

During the filming of “Anikulapo,” Alaba Ultimate disclosed that he faced formidable challenges, notably mastering horseback riding and intense fight training.However, with the support of skilled trainers and a dedicated production team ensuring safety, he tackled these hurdles with determination and professionalism.
Speaking about the experience, Alaba Ultimate expressed admiration for director and producer Kunle Afolayan, who he described as a “genius” and “too talented and blessed.”
“Training to fight in the movie was very challenging for me but the trainers did an excellent job making safety their number one priority,” he noted.
Collaborating with Afolayan on such a significant project has undoubtedly enriched Alaba Ultimate ’s artistic journey.
Beyond his role in “Anikulapo,” Alaba Ultimate is poised for further success in the film industry, with several noteworthy projects on the horizon, including the eagerly anticipated film “Convenient” and other promising ventures slated for release this year.
His dedication to his craft and ability to captivate audiences are evident, paving the way for a promising trajectory in cinema.
