The Nigerian Film Festivals Association, NFFA, has expressed it’s readiness to collaborate with the ministry of Tourism through movies to boost the industry.
The association made this known, when its newly inaugurated executive paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable minister of Tourism , Mrs Lola Ade-John, in Abuja.

In his remarks, chairman of the association, Mr Uche Agbo who led the delegation said the ministry can tap into the various activities of these film festivals to enhance the tourism business in the country.
According to him, about 30 film festivals hold annually in Nigeria, but only 29 of them are members of NFFA which serves as the umbrella body of all the film festivals docile in the country.
“I will be delighted to have the ministry collaborate with these festivals to empower emerging cinema voices to tell Nigerian tourism- focused stories,” Agbo stated.
He, however, promised to develop a framework with his team which would serve as a guide to areas of mutual interest between the ministry and the association.
Responding, the Minister thanked the delegation , while looking forward to a more robust engagement with the association to kickstart a successful collaboration.
