…Slams Okoye brothers over apology letter
By Benjamin Njoku
Self-proclaimed Nigerian queen of reggae/dancehall music Cynthia Morgan, who goes by the name Truly Madrina on Instagram has described her story as ‘a blessing rather than a curse,” warning that people should not treat prophecies with contempt.
The once celebrated singer said this, hours after she slammed the music duo Peter and Paul Okoye, of Psquare alongside their elder brother Jude Okoye, her former label boss for what she said were not true about her.

According to her, people would lead a better life if they heeded more to spirituality and allowed God to order their footsteps.
Recounting her story, the dancehall queen said it began in 2010, when she was shopping for a record label. Then she was always praying to God’s direction.
According to her “On one fateful night, I had a dream where I saw a woman wearing a court robe and a wig standing before me and I heard a voice I believe was God’s saying to me, this woman would want to sign you to her record label but don’t oblige her.”.
Narrating further, she said “The message was brief and straight to the point. When I woke up I shared the dream with my mum. We forgot about it. But in less than a year, one of my ex managers called to tell me about one lady who was interested in working with me after he had sent my songs to her. .
“I quickly reminded my mum about my dream and she rebuffed me, saying it couldnt be the same person . For her, it was just a dream. 13 years later, that woman in a court robe happened to be my mum. She ended up signing me with less than a thousand dollars in her bank account.
“But when she couldn’t continue due to lack of funds, Jude Okoye opted to sign me to his label instead of steadily lending her money to fund my projects.
“She later became the third party that drafted a contract and played a pivotal role in making me lose all I worked for. I would have lost my life in the process if I werent aware of her true mission.
“Learn from my mistakes and stay awakened. Don’t play with your spiritual gifts If you want to live long and have peace in this world,” Morgan adominished fans.
On slamming the Okoye brothers, Cynthia Morgan denied tendering an apology letter in 2020, to her former record label executive, Paul Okoye, popularly known as RudeBoy.
In an Instagram post with accompanying a screenshot of a press statement she purportedly issued in 2020 apologizing to Jude Okoye, the singer accused the Okoye brothers of not telling the truth , warning of her intentions to publicly address the situation.
She refuted the authenticity of the apology, alleging bullying by Jude and one Sandra.
According to her, she was temporarily barred from accessing her Instagram account during that time and felt emotionally drained and isolated for years, even contemplated suicide.
But despite these challenges, she resolved not to allow her adversaries to inflict further distress upon her mother.
“I was drained and left with anger for years. the thought of suicide was my only companion but then I just couldn’t let you guys win or let my mum go through such pain in my absence,”she wrote.
Cynthia Morgan shot into limelight following the release of two singles titled “Don’t Break My Heart” and “Lead Me On”, which received massive airplay. The dancehall act enjoyed a rise to fame and success as her hard work earned her a nomination for ‘’Best Reggae/Dancehall single’’ at The Headies 2014. But she suddenly went underground after she parted ways with her former record label bossJude Okoye. Recall that Morgan’s former manager, Joy Tongo introduced her to Jude Okoye after she couldn’t foot the bills of her music.
