To enhance a friendly working environment, African Industries Group organized a football competition among staff and management of the organization recently in Ikorodu, Lagos.
The match took place at the NNPCL field in Ogijo community, Ikorodu between African Industry Limited, AFL and Ikorodu Steel Mill, ISM football teams.
At the end of the match which lasted 60 minutes, 30 minutes each half, the game ended 0 – 0 and in the resulting penalty shootout AFL emerged winner of the 2023 Final AIG football competition.
Speaking after the event, Unit Head of AFL, Mr. Ramachandra AVS, said that games such as football are yardsticks for measuring people’s level of patience in anger, stressing that the company was “looking for something that would unify all of us. Sport brings people together that is why we are using that to unify people in Ogijo, together.”
Dignitaries who watched the match included: the Ologijo of Ogijo, Oba Kazeem Gbadamosi.
