The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG Throne of Grace, ToG Parish has reiterated commitment to its Christian Social Responsibility initiative, even as feeding, clothing, among others of members and non members in need continues.

With the rise in cost of living and hardship in the country, the church has now made it a point of duty to feed people who are in need every Sunday after service, especially on every first Sunday of every month which is the church’s monthly thanksgiving service day.

Speaking in a media chat, Special Assistant to General Overseer Admin/Pastor-in-Charge of Region1, Pastor Dele Balogun, said that a better Nigeria would emerge, even as he advised Nigerians to be prayerful for the country.

Balogun said: “We have made it a point of duty that anytime we have service, especially first Sunday, we want to feed people. We want to assist people due to what is going on in the nation. We feel that the church has a responsibility of taking care of the people. The welfare aspect is what we call CSR.

“For this month, we have distributed food, cloth and others to those who need them; we give both cooked and raw food. Without deceiving ourselves, poverty level is high but everyone is doing their bid to ensure it is reduced. Government is doing palliative, the church is doing its own CSR to succor the people.

“I want to encourage Nigerians not give up, they should stay strong because tomorrow would be better, Nigerians should not give up, I believe the tomorrow of Nigeria would be alright. We should also be praying for our government too. It is not a time to be complaining about Nigeria but a time to pray for the country”, he said.
