Born on May 27, 1982, in Sokoto State, Nigeria, Judith Iwu spent her formative years in Imo State. She attended Umudim Central School and Ihodimeze Primary School for her elementary education before proceeding to Amaimo Girls Secondary School and Atta Girls Secondary School for her secondary education in Ikeduru local government area, Imo State. After completing her secondary education, Iwu relocated to Lagos State and pursued a degree in Insurance at the University of Lagos.

Judith Iwu’s journey into the world of acting began with stage dramas in 2008. Encouraged by her mother to explore Nollywood, she officially joined the film industry in 2010. However, it was her role in the 2016 movie “House of Trouble” that catapulted her into the limelight. Since then, she has been an integral part of Nollywood, captivating audiences with her talent and dedication.

Beyond her professional achievements, Judith Iwu has faced personal challenges with resilience. Following a tumultuous marriage that ended in 2006 due to domestic violence, Iwu focused on healing and rebuilding her life. Her determination and strength led her to find love again with Ogechi Nwanekwu, who has been her supportive partner.

Throughout her career, Judith Iwu has showcased her acting skills in a diverse range of movies such as “Kidnappers,” “Clinic Matters,” “Tears for Life,” “House of Trouble,” and many more. Her outstanding contributions to the industry have earned her several accolades and recognitions including being recognized with the International Media Personality Award by John Terence Media Limited, in conjunction with International Kingdom University, United States of America highlighting her role as a trailblazer and role model in the entertainment world.
