
All Progressives Congress Governorship Candidate for Akwa Ibom State, Obong Akan Udofia received a major boost on Friday as Prince Augustine Utuk withdrew his pending case at the Supreme Court.
Utuk, who was one of the aspirants during the party’s governorship primaries, also threw his weight behind Udofia to emerge victorious during the March 11 governorship election in the state.
While addressing newsmen before a crowd of supporters at his residence in Uyo, Utuk declared that he has withdrawn his Supreme Court case and has resolved to throw his weight behind the candidacy of Udofia in Akwa Ibom State.
He stated that he took the decision after due consultation with his supporters and family members.
In his speech, Udofia thanked Augustine Utuk for his decision to withdraw the case and endorse him. He assured him of his willingness to work with him to deliver the party and restore prosperity to the good people of Akwa Ibom State.

“Now is a good time and today is a good day for us to close ranks and work together for the success and victory of our party in the forthcoming General Elections. Our victory will be a victory for Akwa Ibom people who are desirous of change,” he added
In his remarks, the Director General of the APC Governorship Campaign Council, Engr. Don Etim said that the Campaign Council was open to giving everyone a sense of belonging and assured that no one will be left behind in the journey to a Prosperous Akwa Ibom State.
Also present at the event were the Akwa Ibom APC State Chapter Chairman, Stephen Ntukekpo, APC Deputy Governorship Candidate, Victor Antai and other notable political leaders in the State
