Comrade Daniel Onjeh, APC’s Candidate for the forthcoming 2023 Benue South Senatorial Elections has expressed delight at the news of the election of Archbishop Oliver Abah, a native of Otupka in Ogbadibo Local Government Area, as the Prelate Elect of the Methodist Church of Nigeria. He stated that the Archbishop’s election was indeed divinely ordained.

Comrade Onjeh further stated that the Archbishop’s ascension onto this high ecclesial office—the first Northerner to do so—was a source of great pride and quickening inspiration to the good people of Benue South and all Methodists in Nigeria.

Onjeh opined that the good people of Benue South are particularly proud of their son, brother, father, uncle, and spiritual father.

Comrade Onjeh urged the Prelate Elect to continue his prayers of intercession for the peace, progress, and development of Benue South and of the entire nation. He also prayed that God may fill the Archbishop with the Holy Spirit to empower him with wisdom, divine knowledge, and ability, so as to enable him to have a most successful stewardship of his flock.

Furthermore, Onjeh stated that on behalf of himself, his family, and the good people of Benue South, he wishes to most heartily congratulate His Eminence, the Prelate Elect, on this most glorious elevation. He also prayed that God may be with him; that He may guide his every step.

In conclusion, Comrade Onjeh prayed that the Lord may reinforce the hedge of angles around the Archbishop to shield him from the enemy’s darts.
