As part of her continuous efforts in addressing the needs of Muslim women Bounties Charity Initiative has again announced plan to host a Widows, Singles and Divorcees, (WDS) forum as an avenue to provide moral and psychological support for these women.
The event which is tagged #WDSFORUM is one of Bountiis Women in Trauma series to connect with women facing natural challenges of widowhood, divorce, delayed marriage or Single motherhood.

The hybrid event designed to be virtual-physical forum will hold on 27th June, 2021 at LASUBEB Multipurpose Hall, Maryland, Lagos and simultaneous online live broadcast for live virtual participation between 9am and 5pm.
A press release signed by Mrs Zainab Abebefe-Onisiwo, Bountiis Head of Communications,  stated that attendance to the event is free and open to participation from widows, divorcee, single matured women, individuals and organisations who cares for widows and matured singles as well as all women who believe in importance of knowledge is to survival of females folks.

She explains that Bountiis #WDSFORUM promises a robust and engaging discussion of a topic that is despised, very traumatic and yet keeps occurring to women unprepared within the Muslim community.
According to her, the even is designed to have three engaging panel sessions tagged as First Aid with focus on surviving the first few hours when tragedy strikes, exploring the Islamic boundaries, legal facts, overcoming the psychological shock and learning from untold stories.
She informed that the second panel will address Sex and Sexuality with holistic approach towards coping with deprived sexual needs and related hormonal challenges while the third panel discussion will speak to ‘Living a Balanced Lifestyle’ with proven approaches for coping with financial pressures, societal stigma and family wars.
Abebefe-Onisiwo said, “We all forsake the topic, we extradite the victims and ignore the signs. Widows, Divorcees and Singles forum hopes to unleash the grey areas within a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and discussions. A bountiful support to our WDS, a lesson to all women.”
She hinted further that the event will feature engaging group discussions, debates and interactive panel sessions available on the event webpage via www.bountiis.org.
