Adeshina Ajayi charts path to financial freedom through technology

By Juliet Ebirim

Tech expert, Adeshina Ajayi is a man driven by passion for personal development and the belief that continuous progress is essential for success. Throughout his career, he has held various business development leadership roles across multiple industries.

Today, however, his focus is entirely on blockchain technology and its potential to lift Nigerians out of poverty.

“Leveraging blockchain technology for my business changed my life,” Ajayi says. “It’s how I grew from nothing to where I am today.”

Despite his present success, his journey has been anything but easy. Born into a family that struggled to survive on less than N500 a day, Ajayi faced a tough start. His parents got divorced when he was just two years old and he was raised by his father. “It was a difficult childhood,” he recalls. “As a family of seven, we often had to skip meals to make sure everyone ate. My parents had a troubled marriage, which ended when my mother left.”

Undeterred by these challenges, Adeshina was determined to change his future. He graduated from the Empowerment College Leadership School in Lagos, in partnership with the Institute of Leadership and Management, London, and went on to work for The Empowerment Center and Niches Property Limited.

Now, more than a decade after his graduation, blockchain technology has transformed his life. “Today, I’m a co-trainer and leader at Alpha Training Lab, a blockchain education and mentorship firm. I developed a mentorship system that has helped over 500 ordinary Nigerians become millionaires in just one year,” Ajayi says with pride. “I’ve also helped more than 200 young people acquire in-demand global skills, giving them the tools they need for financial freedom.”

Additionally, Ajayi has assembled a team of 20 blockchain experts to promote blockchain awareness and adoption in the Agbado Ijaiye area of Lagos State. His motivation for spreading the word about blockchain is clear: “I know firsthand how blockchain can create a level playing field for the average African and give young people opportunities they never imagined possible.”
