UGHELLI – Following his victory in last weekend’s National Assembly elections, Senator James Manager, PDP, Delta South, has extended a hand of fellowship to his fellow contesant, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan urging for them to put the interest of the people ahead.

From available statistics, over half a billion people living in Africa do not have reliable means of identification. A recent report from the Financial Inclusion Global Initiative, FIGI says out of the one billion people lacking reliable means of identification globally, half of the number reside in Africa.  The report corresponds with the World Bank’s 2017 Global Forex Survey which discovered that lack of documentation was the primary barrier to access to financial services by 26 per cent of unbanked people in low-income countries.

As  Nigeria  eager-ly awaits  her certification as polio-free by the World Health  Organisation, WHO, the Aliko Dangote Foundation, ADF, has  boosted the nation’s efforts to finally end a scourge which had  affected thousands of children across the country. 

Rivers State governor, Mr Nyesom Wike has said  that the state government had written to the International Criminal  Court to prosecute the General Officer Commanding,  GOC, 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Jamil Sarhem for crimes against humanity.
