Former British and Commonwealth light-heavy weight champion, Peter Oboh has urged Christians and Muslims to pray for a violence-free and credible Governorship and House of Assembly elections today.
He also called on voters to come out en masse to exercise their civic responsibilities by voting for the candidate of their choice.
In a signed message yesterday, Oboh said, ‘’whenever you decide not to exercise your civic responsibility by not voting during election, automatically you are counting yourself among the minority. But when you decide to exercise your right to vote, then you are not far from the winning party.
“Nigerians who are eligible to vote should come out today to exercise their civic responsibilities. I also want to urge Nigerians not to take advantage of today’s elections to cause havoc to rival candidates and their supporters. No election is worth the blood of any Nigerian because when it happens the essence of democracy is being defeated, “Oboh said.
