The Independent National Electoral Commission has revealed that a total of 72,775,502 million Nigerians have collected Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs ) for the General Election, representing 86.63 per cent of eligible voters.
This implies that the total number of votes across the country for the presidential election cannot be more than 72,775,585 as only persons with PVCs can be allowed to vote on Saturday.
The commission also gave the number of uncollected voters cards as 11,228,582. This implies that this number of people registered prior to the elections but did not collect their PVCS. The people who fall in this category are ineligible to vote in Saturday’s election.
