Chieftains of All Progressive Congress, APC, in Bayelsa State have described the victory of President Muhammad Buhari in the just-concluded presidential polls as a show of support and a reward for integrity and performance on security and fight against corruption.

A party chieftain and member of APC Presidential Campaign Council, Tare Amatare; a member of the Contact and Mobilisation Committee, Ebitimi Angbare, and Preye Aganaba, said though Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, gave a fair showing, Nigerians have declared with their votes that they are on faithful grounds with Buhari.

Amatare, who is from Troffani area of Sagbama, said: “I used to tell people that Buhari is the most honest and discussed leader the country has ever seen and no one can defeat him. He is a leader that Nigerians trust.

“With the victory, Buhari will reward Nigerians with more and consistent fight against corruption and insecurity. Buhari is like a deity and Nigerians are faithful to him.

“Some said he is a religious bigot, but his cook and driver are Christians. Buhari will take Nigerians to the next level.”

Also, Angbare said the re-election of Buhari is a thing of joy, adding “we had a reason to market him and thank Nigerians for believing in a good, dependable and faithful candidature of Buhari.”

Also reacting, Aganaba said Nigerians voted for integrity, because a good name such as Buhari’s was better than ill-acquired riches.

“Buhari should continue from where he stopped and Nigerians should continue to encourage him to tackle corruption and insecurity.”
