Voting activities at the deputy governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC in Lagos, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, on Saturday was marred after Card reader malfunctioned, delaying voting processes.
When Vanguard arrived the scene at 11am, none of the voter’s have cast their vote, they were sighted under the scorching sun.
Also, our correspondent sighted some electorate at poling units 002, Back of Central Mosque, begging INEC officers to quickly deploy solutions that can aid them to cast their vote.

In an interview with newsmen, one of the electorate, Hammed Ebunoluwa, lamented that they arrived the polling unit at 7am in anticipation that the exercise would start as announced by INEC.
“We have asked them reasons for the delay, they said that the card reader is not functioning. And they do not know what to do on it.
” When we demanded that we must vote, they told us that until their technicians arrive, there is no solution to the challenge.
“We are sad that despite the assurance from INEC that the process will be swift and peaceful, none of us has been able to cast his vote. This is not fair,” he added.
Another electorate, who identified himself as Nurudeen, stressed that all efforts to get the official accredit him for the exercise has proved abortive.
He faulted the process, saying, the electoral commission has not been able to organise an hitch free exercise despite the postponement.
