Governance and institutional reforms: Nsima Ekere setting the agenda
The Nigerian democratic space is bereft of ideological content and identifiable programme of activities to engage statutory governance requirements after electoral victory. The poverty of the philosophy of governance has remained the bane of the current Akwa Ibom state government occasioning adhoc initiatives and blurred vision. For Obong Nsima Ekere, this is an absurdity that must be reversed. The result is a well articulated and defined roadmap “The New Vision for our collective prosperity”.

2019: Sabbatarians protest fixing polls on Saturdays
AWKA—MEMBERS of the Association of Sabbatarian Youths of Nigeria, ASYN, a body that observes its holy day of worship on Saturdays, have protested the fixing of election on Saturdays, arguing that over 43 million of their members across the country would be disenfranchised in 2019 if the situation was not reversed.
Building social cohesion through arts education
On October 27, 2018, I left Nigeria to attend the InSEA SEMINAR hosted by the Society for Arts Education in Namibia (SAEN) at Walvis Bay, Erongo Region, Namibia. It was aimed at promoting InSEA in African countries and to foster dialogue and sharing of praxis and research about education through art.
