A northern youth group called the Arewa Youth Integrity Forum (AYIF) has told Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate to distance himself from Femi Fani-Kayode, former minister of aviation saying ‘Alhaji Atiku Abubakar risks losing the support of Arewa if he associates his campaign with Femi Fani-Kayode and Nnamdi Kanu, who have both repeatedly declared their disdain and hatred for Nigerians from the northern parts of the country.

A community leader in Ofuoma oil-producing community, where Afiesere Oilfield in OML30 is located,  Mr. Chris Eriyamremu,  has said that the Global Memorandum of Understanding, GMoU, between Heritage Energy Operational Service Limited, Shoreline Natural Resources Limited, Nigerian Petroleum Development Company NPDC and 111 host communities would ensure rapid infrastructure development in the communities.
