Why I’m running for Senate — Agbajor

ARRI—A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic, PDP, in Delta State, Chief Olivia Agbajor has stated she want to go to the senate to attract federal Government presence to the Senatorial district that yield so much revenue to the federation in general and the state in particular.

The former House of Representatives member made this remarks in Warri weekend when members of Host Community of Nigeria Oil and Gas (HOSTCOM) Itsekiri chapter paid her a solidarity visit to congratulate her on her installation as a Chief in Warri Kingdom by His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli, the Olu of Warri.

The group led by its Chairman, Tuoyo Woligho who pleaded with her to be their matron and adviser commended her for her philanthropy which they said is legendary and worthy of emulation by all.

Responding, Chief Olivia Agbajor accepted to be their Matron and disclosed that her Philanthropic gestures give her joy and a sense of fulfillment saying that she is vying for the senate seat to attract more Federal presence to the district.

According to her, her brief stint at the Green Chamber attracted the Nigeria Naval Base in Warri today and she is going to the Senate to ensure that the Delta Ports in Warri, Koko and Burutu come back to life as a money spinning venture to generate employment for Deltans and Nigerians and decongest the Lagos ports and its attendants gridlock on the Apapa/Oshodi expressway.

She disclosed that the PDP in Delta state has assured that no aspirants has been anointed by the leadership of the party as all contestant would have to slug it out at the primaries and assured that she is prepared to face all the hurdles in the field, saying that she is not a neophyte in the business.
