THE Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  has been hailed for  showing that experience cannot be bought  in the  management of political party affairs.

Chief Charles Udeogaranya,  a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and a presidential aspirant of the party   in a statement yesterday said , “PDP’s  act of scheduling  the sales of expression of interest and nomination forms, two months ahead of the expiry  of  the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, deadline for the conclusion of all party primaries is super fabulous.

“This conduct underscores the high willingness  of the party to bounce back and bounce better than ever and it is worthy of emulation.   It also signals that one can only ignore them at his/her own peril as they pose a tough challenge to any other political party in Nigeria.

“I therefore call on the drivers of my  political party, APC, to urgently announce our party’s  schedule of  sales of expression of interest  and nomination forms as I would not hesitate to pick the presidential forms.

“Having been a former political party chairman, I would like to restate that we must develop a philosophy  of encouraging opposition parties to succeed if we mean well for the country and drop the idea that opposition parties are enemies. Rather, we should see opposition parties and their members as collaborators in helping the ruling party deliver dividends of good governance and democratic ideals by their conduct of putting the needs of the people on the table of  governance as well as their preparedness to take over government if the ruling party fails. This is healthy for the common good of all citizens.”
