IMPORTERS Association Of Nigeria, IMAN, has vowed to clamp down on importers who are not duly registered for operation, adding  that they engaged in illegal business.

IMAN said the action was to stop the smuggling  of substandard and adulterated products into the the country, noting  that the laws on importation in the country are strategic and must be followed to the letter if the economy of the country is to be revamped and protected.

The newly inaugurated national president of the body Hon. Obiajunwa Lawrence, who said this, further pledged his determination to ensure that illegal importation was checked in the country.
