IBADAN-IN continuation of Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s stride in the agricultural sector and the infrastructural development of Oyo State, one of the gubernatorial aspirants and a close ally of the governor, Chief Olasunkanmi Tegbe has disclosed that if elected in the forthcoming election, his administration would embark more on agricultural revolution in the state and further develop the infrastructure.
He made the disclosure in a chat with Vanguard, Monday, while accessing some sectors that needed to be looked into after the exit of the current governor next year.
Tegbe, a tax expert, is eyeing the governorship seat of the state on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and has at different fora, made his administration’s blueprint known to the electorate in the state.
According to him, if there was anything that occupies his mind, it was how he would improve more on the legacy that Ajimobi had created in the sector by trying to explore the agricultural potentials of the state in order to turn around its fortunes to become the food basket of the nation through massive agricultural outputs.
“Even though, lots of achievements have been made in the sector trough Ajimobi’s initiatives, but it’s my belief that more could still be achieved in the sector under my administration.”
“I am highly impressed by the achievements of the governor in those sectors. If elected, nothing will stop me from replicating the gesture in my governance and even do more because a good template has been created,” Tegbe added.
He said the sectors would create more employment opportunities for the unemployed youths, which the guber aspirant observed would unleash the potentials of the state, while expressing optimism that within the next few months of his administration, the agric and solid mineral sectors would have yielded positive results.
