UMUAHIA—A youth group, Ethnic Nationalities Youth Presidents of Nigeria, ENYPN, has cautioned the presidency and the national assembly members against heating up the polity over the defection of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and some governors from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and warned them against truncating the nation’s democracy.

President Muhammadu Buhari

ENYPN warned against illegal impeachment of the Senate President, saying it could lead to break down of law and order.

The group called on both arms of government to have mutual respect for each other and work together for the development of the nation instead of heating up the polity over defection from one party to the other.

The group warned that if they continue the bickering which is affecting development, the ethnic youths would be forced to occupy both the presidency and national assembly.
