GENERAL Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has admonished ministers of the gospel to rely solely on the power of God for them to do exploits in their various callings.
Adeboye
He gave the admonition Sunday during a special programme for ministers of the gospel and their families at the national headquarters of the church, Throne of Grace parish, Ebute-Meta, Lagos with the theme: ‘Power to Dominate.’
He further urged them not to seek alternative powers in their ministry but rather utilise Jesus name which he described as the only name that every other power surrenders to.
In his words: “Power to dominate means ability to be in control of everything around you, be it physical, spiritual, social or politically. When a man has dominion we call him the king and the area where he had dominion is called domain or kingdom.
“When you hear people saying satan has power but he does not have salvation, it is a lie because all power belongs to The Almighty God. Satan is cunning but Jesus Christ is powerful.
“To dominate, you need to receive power from God not from the devil, devil has lost his power long time ago. If you are trusting herbalist, false prophets for power, they are just deceiving you, as all power belong to Jesus Christ and he gives it to anyone as he pleases”
“You can dominate those witches and wizards or whatever they call themselves. I am not talking about theory, I know what I am talking about. For 17 years I was running away from my village because the witches there said they want to use me for breakfast, so I ran until I met Jesus Christ. So when I am going now, I announced that I am coming home so that the witches can run away, that is domination”.
Describing holliness as one of the major criteria of receiving power to dominate from God, the soft spoken man of God, warned the participants to shun every appearance of sin stressing that the name of Jesus can only work for them in their various ministries if they are connected with God.
Enumerating other areas of life that man can dominate, pastor Adeboye said God has the power to promote a begger from the dunghill to the palace.
Citing his personal experience of poverty he said: “even though I have renovated my father’s house, you will still notice that it belongs to a poor man. For the first 18 years of my life, I did not have a shoe not one but then I meet Christ and things began to change”
“I visited a country and I paid the head of state a visit after two hours I said I have a crusade and people are waiting, he said let them wait, he said they have much time but he did not have and that he did not know when I will visit the country again”
“You can imagine the son of a poor farmer , so poor that they call him poor that God picked him up and begin to give him dominion”.
