CALABAR—CHIEF Linus Okom, Chairman, Northern senatorial district of Cross River State caucus of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has said that the hunger and hardship Nigerians are experiencing under the All Progressives Congress, APC, government would drive them to seek for a change of government in 2019.
Okom, in an interview with Vanguard in Calabar, yesterday, said the PDP would benefit from the decision of the people to change the government by massively voting for the party across the country in the 2019 elections.
“In politics, if you do not have a template and a sense of direction, certainly you will derail and APC has derailed and had in the process caused so much hardship in the country, that people are ready to change the change the party had brought by voting PDP back to power.
“People will see a different PDP in 2019 because we are not learning the ropes like APC and what we will bring will make people happy and know that we are a great nation not a land of hunger.
“The South and Central have had their complete tenures of eight years as governors and the only logical thing is to allow the North to complete its tenure so that peace and unity will rule our body polity.”
