The Returning Officer of for the Ekiti State governorship election, Professor Idowu Olayinka has declared Dr Kayode Fayemi the All Progressive Congress candidate as the winner of the election.

The APC candidate won with 197,459 votes as against Professor Kolapo Olusola of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)with 178,121 votes.
