BIRNIN KEBBI—KEBBI State government has connected 16 of the 21 local government areas of the state with constant power supply.

A statement by Abubakar Dakingari, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Abubakar Bagudu, said the governor made this known when he received the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Niger Delta Power Holding Company, Mr. Chiedie Ugbo, at Government House in Birnin Kebbi.

He noted that provision of regular power supply remained top priority of his administration.

The statement also quoted Governor Bagudu as commending the power company’s commitment to helping government achieve its objectives by distributing over 20,000 solar power units to towns and villages.
