The Zamfara State Police Command said it has foiled another plan by kidnapers to attack Ruwan Gizo and Yartasha in Tudun Marafa local government area of the state

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Shehu said upon heard about the information, the police went into action,engaged the armed bandict in who came in five trucks and motorcycle in fierce battle.

According to him, they killed the gang leader of the armed bandit and rescued one Bilyaminu Abdullahi who was recently kidnapped.

His words: information reaching us shows that bandits who atacked Birane village in Zurmi LGA will raid villagers in Ruwan Gizo and Yartasha. As soon as we heard it, we mobilized our men who went into action and killed the gang leader”.

He appealed to the residents of the area to always report any suspicious move.
