Consumers in Warri, Udu, Ughelli and Sapele where Matrix operates retail outlets, noted that the firm’s uninterrupted delivery of petrol at the official pump price, had forced gradual crashing of the outrageous prices among other marketers.
Ese Komone, a resident in Ughelli who works in Warri, told Vanguard, “Matrix has turned out to be our saviour in the absence a NNPC Mega Station in Warri and environs.
“Even major marketers we use to buy from suddenly started ripping off fuel users over the recent scarcity. Matrix came with steady supply.”
On his part, a motorist, Kingsley Ebikeme, said: “Matrix’s queues are always long because they are about the only filling station with steady supply at N145 per litre.”
Okeoghene Joseph, a transporter, said: “Matrix deserves commendation and other motivations from government.
“How can people like us remain in business? Commuters are not always ready to pay extra to share the burden of fuel scarcity?”
