The management of Dana Air has said the door of its aircraft that fell off on Wednesday was because a passenger attempted to open it.

A statement by the Media and Communications Manager of Dana Air, said the incident could not have happened if no one tried to open the door.

“We wish to state categorically that this could never have happened without a conscious effort by a passenger to open it (exit door),” the statement said.
