BENIN—FORMER State deputy chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo State, Mr. Clement Edo-Osagie, has lampooned the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari for being insensitive to the serial killings, state of insecurity, pains and the recent kidnap of school children in Yobe State.
The PDP chieftain spoke yesterday at Iguobazuwa, administrative headquarters of Ovia South-West Local Government Area of the state while addressing party faithful in Ovia federal constituency.
He lamented that Nigerians were yet to witness the change promised by the President, saying that instead of the change, “Nigeria has continued to move from one problem to another.
“Nigerians have never had it so bad. Many of the promises made by the administration have not been fulfilled. Nigerians live in fear of the menace of herdsmen, insecurity and hunger.
“So, we need to change the situation. The only way we can do so is for every Nigerian from 18 years and above to come out and register, have his or her PVC as this is the only weapon that will be used to change every evil government in power.
“We do not have to remain in our homes and continue weep, mourn and lament over the inaction of this administration and government we never bargained for. We have to take action and necessary steps on how to vote into power a PDP government in 2019. You have your PVCs to vote the All Progressives Congress, APC, government out of power,” he said.
He called on PDP faithful in Edo State to remain focused and steadfast in their desire to have a better Nigeria.
On why the PDP was not contesting the forth coming elections in the state, he said: “The PDP will not take part in the elections because the party will not compromise the Constitution of Nigeria, hence it went to court.”
