WARRI—Youths have been enjoined to promote peace this year in Niger Delta for investors to come to the region.

In a statement yesterday, President, Niger Delta Youth Movement, Mr. Joe Jackson, and the Secretary of the body, Mr. Amakuro Isaac, said youths and the elderly should sink their political differences and work with the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, to achieve its mandate of developing the region.
They said: “We call on youths of the region to embrace peace this year as we join hands to support the laudable and genuine efforts of NDDC in bringing development to the youths of the region.”
The youths also urged the management of the commission to allow youths in the region contribute to its youth empowerment and development programmes in the region to achieve more results.
