ABUJA – A national chairmanship candidate in the recently concluded convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Professor Taoheed Adedoja on Sunday voiced out his feelings about the outcome of the exercise.

According to him, the process leading to the conclusion of the convention showed that the PDP is yet to do away with the culture of impunity.

Speaking with news men in Abuja yesterday, the former Minister of Sports and Special Duties said he was not happy about the whole exercise as he thought the party would have learnt its lessons from its recent past.

“The conduct of the the national convention was characterized with impunity which must be reviewed in order to avert further crisis in the party,” he said.

Adedoja however enjoined members of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the party to urgently swing in to action by setting up a high powered committee to investigate what went wrong in the conduct of the exercise.

According to him, “A week to our convention, a list tagged ‘Unity list’ containing names of the winners in the convention was circulating around ‎and the convention was the only one name missing. So the BoT should find out what went wrong, ” he counselled.

Adedoja who toured round the country in hope of drumming support for his ambition finished fourth behind High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, Professor Tunde Adeniran and Prince Uche Secondus in that order.
