National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations, NACOMYO has felicitated with Muslims as they mark the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), otherwise known as Id’ul Maulud. The group enjoined them to sustain their religious obligations and spiritual undertakings as such endeavours go a long way to shaping the destiny of the country.

NACOMYO also identified good neighbourliness, protection of rights and respect for people’s religious sensibilities as factorial to peaceful coexistence and harmonious living, required for societal and national development.

Against the backdrop of the news report on the social media of alleged molestation of a veil using Muslim by a woman in Lagos, NACOMYO admonished Nigerians to accommodate each other and eschew religious differences, and leave together in peace for the benefit of the society. It noted that the constitution guarantees freedom of religion, enjoining citizens to embrace love, tolerance and mutual respect in their interactions.

The apex Muslim youth group also urged the citizens to refrain from any act that may create a tension and disquieting situation in other not to heat the polity.
