Kano State House of Assembly, yesterday, screened and confirmed the factional All Progressive Congress, APC, chairman in the state, and cousin to Emir Sanusi II, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, as commissioner.

The development followed the decision of Alhaji Abbas to step down as a fall out of the peace brokered by the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odige-Oyegun.

Consequently, the screening followed a letter presented to the assembly by the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, seeking their approval to appoint Alhaji Abbas as a commissioner in the state.

After the introduction of the Kano Prince-turned politician by the Speaker, Abdullahi Yusuf Ata, who presided over the plenary, Deputy Speaker, Alhaji Hamisu Chidari, urged the lawmakers to allow him take a bow and go.
