…as he inaugurates 9-member executive for Anambra
AHEAD of 2018, leadership tussle which had hitherto split members of Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN into factions and hindered smooth operations of the guild has at last been brought under control and declared over.
National President of the Guild, Emeka Rollas Ejezie made this declaration at the weekend, in Awka, Anambra State capital, while performing the swearing-in and formal inauguration of Anambra State executive chapter of the guild. He said all the warring factions have agreed to sheathe their swords and come together under one umbrella to move Nollywood forward. He, therefore, commended the trustees of AGN for their prompt intervention in the crisis and their efforts at restoring peace in the body, adding that his executive which is now saddled with total reconciliation and rehabilitation of the body, has equally extended an olive branch to all the

aggrieved parties.
Rollas who tasked the new Anambra state executive to work assiduously to take the state to a higher height, disclosed that the reconciliation exercise commenced with the election and inauguration of state executive members in all the 36 states of the federation, adding that most of the states have had their elections in a peaceful manner and are being inaugurated one after the other, while few others are still preparing for theirs. The newly inaugurated nine-members executive for Anambra AGN included Evangelist Leo Ewuzie, chairman; Emma Mbonu, vice-chairman; Ifeanyi Onyeyiri, secretary; Prince Osuoha Maduabuchi, assistant secretary; Aburuchukwu Daniel, financial secretary; Peace Dozas, treasurer; Obinna Mmoma, PRO; Ndubuisi Odowa Coins, director of guild services, DGS and Ejike Obidimma, chief whip. In his acceptance speech, the newly inaugurated state chairman, Ewuzie pledged to discharge his duties with humility and respect, adding that with his election ending on a ‘no victor, no vanquished’ note, he would never let them down.
