A picture taken on January 1, 2016 shows the nine-metre tall statue of Jesus Christ carved from white marble, thought to be the biggest of its kind in Africa, unveiled in Abajah,
ZECHARIAH 4:6 says: “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of Hosts”.
The scripture clearly states that qualification of making heaven is not by any form of human effort. God’s people ability to conquer the world, is not by outward might, but by inward strength received from above. Heaven is not by your righteousness or power to inherit it.
It is only by the grace of God in Christ which is the undeserved acceptance and love receives from God. Making it in heaven at last is only through His grace which manifests itself in the redemptive work of Christ by which sinners are forgiven and accepted by God. Without grace there won’t be anything like salvation because it is grace that calls one into salva-tion, reveals Christ, gives the faith which is the condition of salvation and equips one for service in the Christian life, for no one goes to the Father except through Him. Jesus Christ is the embodiment of grace.
The appreciation of grace is the appreciation of Christ. In this era, no one can experience the power in the grace without believing in the redemption work of Christ.
Titus 2:11-13 says: “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men. Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”
If you are not in Christ and Christ is not in you, forget about eternal life. Religious observation cannot help you. Paying tithes in the church or working in the house of God can never qualify you for heaven. All those strict life disciplines of trying to live a life of self righteousness cannot help you. Making it into heaven at last is only by the grace of God through our Lord Jesus Christ. It is not by our power or might as stated by Prophet Zechariah but by His spirit.
The scripture has made it known to us that our righteousness is like a filthy rag before the Lord. (Isaiah 64:6). If our righteousness have been described as rotten and good for nothing, why then should we anchor our faith on self righteous-ness? Why should one believe that it is his good works that could earn him the Kingdom?
It is therefore very obvious that nobody, who relies on self right-eousness, can make heaven at last. It is only the righteousness that God inputs in us as genuinely born again Christians that can qualify us for heaven. Are your religious leaders still asking you to do sacrifice for your sin, it is in vain you have done that for Christ has been sacrificed for us and proclaimed ‘it is finished’.
That is the end of all sacrifices till the world ends.
John 19:30 says: “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said, it has been finished: and he bowed His head, and gave up the ghost”.
It is finished means that the sacrifice for sin has been done once and forever. The debt of sin has been paid. And no other sacrifice is required by God for our sin and none would supersede the sacrifice of His only begotten son Jesus Christ.
Matthew 5:20 says: “For I say unto you, that except your right-eousness shall exceed the right-eousness of the Scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven”.
The righteousness that Jesus requires in His kingdom is purity, chastity, honesty, temperance, the fear of God, and the love of man. It is pure, eternal, enduring, and making the life holy. The right-eousness of true Christians is seated in the heart and is an-chored on the finished work of grace on the cross of Calvary.
Hebrew 10:4 says: “For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins”.
If you kill a goat so that you will go to heaven, you will never go to heaven. If you kill your mother so that you will go to heaven, you will not go to heaven. If you kill yourself so that you will go to heaven, you will not go to heaven, if you give all your money to the church so that you will go to heaven you will not go to heaven. The only thing that qualifies you to heaven is the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed on the cross at Calvary.
For it is written that almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin. Christ paid the price of sin just once with His blood.
Anything you do without refer-ence to this blood must fail. So, everything must be done through Jesus Christ. If you are in the church and have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour, you will not make heaven. Righteousness without Christ is in vain.
If you are in the Church and are stealing, telling lies or you have divorced your wife or husband and have gone into second marriage you will not make heaven. If you drink alcohol or are working in the brewery where it is produced, you will not make it. If you belong to cult whether secret or open, you will not make heaven.
The Bible says that the un-righteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God. Do not fool your-self, because those that indulge in sexual sins, idolatry, 419, rituals and etc will have no share in the Kingdom of God.
Finger rosary, scapular, wearing of crosses or white garment cannot help you to make heaven. Peter, Paul, Christopher or any other human being dead or alive cannot help you to heaven. The only way is Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth, and the life, none cometh to the father but by Him. There is only one mediator between man and God, the man Jesus Christ.
I Timothy 2:5-6 says: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”
This one Mediator, Jesus Christ, gave himself a ransom for all, therefore whoever that perishes is not because no ransom was paid for him, nor because it was not sufficient for him, for it will be hypocritical to assume so, for the act of grace was issued to all mankind, offering pardon of sin and eternal salvation to all without exception, but upon condition of their acceptance. If anyone rejects it, then it is to his absolute and inevitable condem-nation.
John 1:12 says: “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name”.
So, are you looking forward to eternal life in the kingdom of God, then accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, so that it shall be well with you now and forever. This is what you ought to do to inherit the Kingdom of God.
