ABUJA—FORMER Vice President, Namadi Sambo and the Senate President, Bukola Saraki were among the Muslim faithful who joined President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Villa Mosque for Juma’at prayer for the commemoration of Nigeria’s 57th Independence annive-rsary.It was the first time the former Vice President under President Goodluck Jonathan was attending jump’at prayers at the Villa mosque since he left office on the 29th May, 2015.
Even Pope may not be able to pay salaries in Benue
Following the plan by the organised labour to embark on an indefinite strike over backlog of unpaid salaries in Benue state, the Majority Leader of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Benjamin Adanyi has appealed to workers to jettison the action saying that “with the present economic realities even a Pope or Bishop may not be able to pay salaries in Benue.”
