2019: Sule Lamido berths in S/East for Presidential Campaign

FORMER governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido has become the first presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to have an intimidating campaign office in the South East for the 2019 elections. The magnificent two-storey edifice consisting of six flats and adjoining offices located at Umuokpu area of Awka, was donated to the presidential hopeful by an indigene of the community, Chief Arize Ekelem, who is a close confidant of Lamido.

ABUJA—FORMER Vice President, Namadi Sambo and the Senate President, Bukola Saraki were among the Muslim faithful who joined President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Villa Mosque for Juma’at prayer for the commemoration of Nigeria’s 57th Independence annive-rsary.It was the first time the former Vice President under President Goodluck Jonathan was attending jump’at prayers at the Villa mosque since he left office on the 29th May,  2015.
