‘One in 3 residents of oil communities at risk of kidney disease’

Uyo—KIDNEY specialist, Dr. Udeme Ekrikpo of the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, UUTH, has raised concerns over the growing cases of kidney failure in oil-producing communities of Niger Delta region, saying one in every three persons residing in any oil-producing community is a potential kidney disease patient.
