27 years after,veteran actress Mabel Oboh plans to return to Nollywood

You may not remember her  name, but you definitely know her face. She hit the limelight in the 80s, producing one of the popular  sitcoms, “Victims” which ran on NTA for years and featuring at a time, Adiela Onyedibia’s adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s “Things Fall Apart”. Mabel Oboh isn’t a stranger to the world of make- believe. She was one of the frontline actresses and directors in Nigeria who conquered the screens in the 80s  but disappeared into thin air when the ovation was loudest. The good news is that, the veteran actress is planning to relaunch her acting career after more than 27 years of being off the screen.

Nigeria has good business opportunities for Indonesian investors —envoy

The Indonesian ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Harry Purwanto has identified good business opportunities in Nigeria that are of interest to Indonesian investors. In an interview with Saturday Vanguard, Mr Purwanto said already a number of young Indonesian entrepreneurs have already invested in Nigeria in areas such as aviation, agriculture, mining, refineries and textiles.

Even gentle exercise helps prevent breast cancer

Walking for just an hour a day can more than halve a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer, a study has shown. Women who walk regularly and take further gentle exercise for at least an hour a week are 55 per cent  more likely to reduce the risk of a tumour than those who never work out.
