ABEOKUTA—The Acting Chairman of Accord Party, the newly inaugurated political party in Ogun State, Adeyemi Alli, has defected to All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The Former acting Chairman announced his defection on a radio programme in Abeokuta, were he alleged that he was sidelined by the leaders of the party led by Chief Doyin Okupe and others who just joined the party, after he had emerged as the authentic Chairman that was elected over a year.

While featuring on the radio programme , Alli further alleged that they made him Acting Chairman and nobody informed him about the inauguration of the party Secretariat held last week.

Alli said he and some aggrieved members of the party had concluded arrangements to  defect to All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, because of  injustice.

Reacting to his defection, the South West Chairman of the party, Ojo Kayode, yesterday, said the party was aware of Alli’s defection,describing him as ‘mere acting Chairman.’
