•Says he’s ready to face the boot

Amidst reports that Cameroon coach, Hugo Broos has resigned his appointment following the 4-0 spanking his team received in Uyo against the Super Eagles in their World Cup qualifier, the Belgian born coach claimed that Victor Moses’ goal early in the second half killed off the Indomitable Lions fighting spirits.

The Super Eagles against all expectations thrashed the African champions 4-0 in Uyo in the first leg tie of the back-to-back World Cup encounter. Broos admitted that Cameroon’s World Cup qualification hopes have been dashed.

‘’We started the second half and after 15 minutes we conceded the third goal, we were not a team anymore, everyone was down. “

“We did not have the power anymore to fight and therefore we didn’t have any chances, even we didn’t play a good attack,” said Broos who guided the Indomitable Lions to their 5th AFCON win in Gabon earlier in the year.

Broos admitted that he could lose his job, but he was ready to move on.

“I am not afraid of  a sack and I don’t think about that,” he said after the game.

“Football is the same for a coach. Today they hail you; tomorrow they kill you – so no big difference with me.

“So I am not afraid even if we don’t make it to the Fifa World Cup.”

Unconfirmed reports said the coach will not be on the bench when the Lions play the Super Eagles in the reverse leg.
