President Buhari

Gombe State Task Force Committee on Environmental Sanitation and other Related Matters vowed, yesterday, to continue to remove campaign posters of politicians from the streets of Gombe, even if they were that of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Chairman of the task force, Nasir Haruna, made the vow against the backdrop of complaints by All Progressives Congress, APC, members in the state that their posters were being removed by the task force.
According to Haruna, the task force will continue to remove such posters because they don’t only violate the state’s environmental laws, but also that it is not yet time for politicking.
He described APC’s complaints as not only malicious, but surprising.
He said it began the clean up with the issuance of notice on September 2, followed by implementation three days later.
The All Progressive Congress, APC, had on Saturday, September 9, held a press conference where it claimed that the state governor treated its members with bias by removing APC posters and that of President Buhari from the streets of Gombe.
