GOVERNOR Willie Obiano’s senior special assistant on social media, Mr. Ifeanyi Aniagoh has described security as the most potent selling point of the governor’s re-election bid.
He listed 25 points which, he noted, were Obiano’s magic towards achieving security in the state.
According to him, the governor made security his number one enabler and set up a road map towards achieving a sustainable safe state and organized a capacity building security summit for all security formations in Awka.

Obiano, he said, also launched ‘Operation Kpochapu’ that involved all security agencies, donated patrol trucks with command control centers to the police, Army, Navy and other paramilitary outfits and mounted checkpoints at flashpoints which were fitted with tents and solar powered street lights to lighten up the usually dark areas.
Other innovative security measures taken by the state government, according to Aniagoh, include donation of 25 smart cars to the Nigeria Police, which were fitted with modern communication gadgets for better patrols, employed drones to get accurate imagery of hard to reach areas of the state, provided horses for crowd control and enforced the law against kidnapping, which ensured total destruction of kidnappers’ den in every part of the state.
Aniagoh said: “In all these laudable achievements, adequate resources were used to train and equip the security formations and that is why Anambra is the safest state in Nigeria.”
