As part of the ongoing spirited efforts to ensure the development of education, the executive chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Hon. Oladele Oshinowo has inaugurated the Agboyi-Ketu Bursary Scheme.

Speaking to journalists at the inauguration yesterday,the chairman disclosed that the scheme is designed for undergraduate students residing in the local council.

The chairman further adumbrated that the core purpose is to reward brilliant students, whom have performed meritoriously in their various disciplines.

Also,he posited that the scheme will accommodate indigent undergraduates.

On the two criteria, the chairman disclosed that the marriage of merit and willingness are insoluble.

He said “In the educational world, the singular yardstick for a student to be rewarded is for him to stand tall amongst his classmates, but as a government, we are eager to build a support base for those also studying in the midst of depression and difficulties.”

“We are aware of their plight, scores of undergraduates in the LCDA are willing to acquire education with ease but the comma of resources have made them to hustle and share a ratio with their educational hours”

” So all in all, the essence of this administration is to bridge the lacuna and bring an identity of greatness to everyone in the LCDA.”

However,the chairman appealed to the interested students to visit the council secretariat for the collection of their eligibility forms, emphasizing that the ten days for collection won’t be extended.

He advised them to adhere to the guidelines on requirements laid down, affirming that nepotism won’t show face in the screening process.
